Your Responsibilities

House of Multiple Occupancy (HMO) Licence & Adequate Safety Certificate

Ensure that you have the correct insurance for the property and a HMO licence in place

Ensure that you have adequate safety and environmental certificates in place (e.g. Gas safety, electrical safety, EPC)

Building and Mortgage Care

Ensure that the main features of the building are in good condition. This includes the exterior/structure of the building, roofing, the boiler and all electrical apparatus

Ensure that you continue to pay your mortgage, if there is one in place
